There are so many types of crushes. You can have a crush on your best friend, your boss, your best friends’s sister, etc. The thing that these crushes have in common is that they are all on people that we have some connection to. We may see them every day, talk to them at length, and are intimately familiar with (as much as we can be) their back story.
There is another kind of crush we’d like to explore this week. I don’t know that I would even classify it as a full crush, so for lack of a better name, I am going to call it a mini crush. A mini crush is a crush you have on someone you have never even spoken to, and may have only seen once or twice. It may be someone you see every day, or someone you find yourself crafting your day for in the hopes that your schedules will collide. It’s not that you would drop your life and run off with them, it’s just that brief hope that you will see them and flutter a bit. It could be the person who delivers your mail, it could be the one who collects tolls on the bridge, the one who makes your coffee, or even a complete stranger that walks by at 2:18pm every day.
